1) Eames at home
We finally had our new guest arrive from Gabriel Ross in Victoria, British Columbia – a beautiful Charles and Ray Eames lounge chair, first designed in 1946. He’s taken up residence in our bedroom and looks fabulous. A George Nelson platform bench is also somewhere on route for the den, which also first premiered in 1946.

G and I would readily admit we have an addiction to chairs but hey, we could have worse addictions.
But you know, the work of Eames, Nelson, Mies van der Rohe and the like are utterly modern, even by today’s standards. Classic design is timeless. Me loves it!
