Fred is a pig.
Gracie and I met Fred today while visiting Toronto’s “Woofstock“, a carnival of all things doglike down in the St. Lawrence Market area. Fred is a SuperDog wannabe. Each year when G and I attend the Canadian National Exhibition we invariably go see the SuperDogs perform (see here). Well, Fred, thinks he’s a dog. He successfully mastered the seesaw
; negotiated his way through the tunnel, jumped rails and, god’s truth, successfully made his way crisscrossing through the stanchions. I was amazed.
His trainer also advised he is very literary and enjoys reading Harry Porker and the Goblet of Swill. I’m kidding, of course.
It was great to see Gracie again. It’s been eons since we last met up as she rarely comes to the City. Puppy Jessie is as wonderful as I remember though he’s now 10 years-old, which cannot be true as it just seems yesterday that Grace, Jessie and I drove across Canada together. Must post about that soon. The poor dogs this morning were all suffering something awful as Toronto is in the midst of a heatwave and it was 40°C with the humidex. Crazy!
Gracie now has four dogs in the house; Jessie and 3 that she is foster parenting from the Jack Russell Rescue Ontario organization, which assists Jack Russell terriers who have been mistreated back into loving families.
In keeping with the dog theme today, I’ll also post up this short video of my sister’s wonderful pooch, Chloe, which I shot whilst in London last week.
