Tomorrow marks AppsScraps‘s 2nd Anniversary as a Xangan. While my 1st year anniversary post had much to do with the folks I met on line, and in real life, I thought this year’s anniversary would focus on the site itself.

AppsScraps has had the same ‘look’ for two years and that got me to thinking … in light of the continuing degradation of the environment with global warming … In light of our responsibility to understand the impact our footprint as individuals has on our planet. In light of our continuing overconsumption of energy on many, many levels … this metamorphosis.

In “light”, literally.

My thanks to Cousin Ora for her email  of 14 November 2007, which introduced me to the alternative, energy-saving version of Google, called “Blackle“. While I have been using a reverse colour scheme for AppsScraps Movie Reviews blogsite since it’s inception in May 2007, I never thought of using the scheme here. Until now.

So, in honour of light and our collective ability (and responsibility) to do what we can to conserve it and our energy, this redesigned 2nd Anniversary version of AppsScraps.
