Could it Be?…

The Triathlon Bike
This afternoon I actually dragged my triathlon bike in from the balcony, where it has sat since July 26, 2004 when I returned from New York after completing Ironman Lake Placid. I spent the afternoon cleaning the grunge off the poor frame and plan (key word here being, ‘plan’) to take it down to Endurosport to get it tuned up in preparation for Garvello spin classes in December. OMG, could it be? Could it actually be? ….

Now, that’s one happy, clean bike!

Christmas in Casablanca
As I mentioned previously, Tennis Star Suzie has asked G and I to plan her wonking holiday celebration this year. G and I spent the weekend morphing the invite. The theme will be “Christmas in Casablanca” complete with bedouin room, casino, moroccan-inspired foods, a belly dancer and et ceteras. We’re both very honoured to be planning this gala. The invite is below with names, addresses and dates all suitably changed to protect the A-list invitees.

A Face From the Past
On Saturday afternoon while G was busy in the hands of stylist extraordinaire, Leo, I ventured down to the Reel Asian box office to pick-up tickets for the couple films I’m seeing this year – Cut Sleeve Boys and Colma: The Musical. I decided to pop into Tim’s on King for a coffee and who do I run into but no one less than Lady Kim! OMG, such a joy to see Lady Kim again after so many years.

Lady Kim & I reconnect

Although the blessed box office was closed when I got to Reel Asian, it was worth the trip just to have spent 20 minutes catching up with a dear friend.

  3. ryc: Haha…not where I live. I don’t really notice that many people that are as…amazing. I don’t know. I just haven’t seen anyone with as beautiful eyes in a really long time [if ever] and it totally took my breath away. GAH X_Xi feel stupid for even desiring someone who I probably will never even met again

Sorry, my msg will be a bit off topic. Casablanca, the movie, brings back some memories from the past. My political prof. “forced” us to watch it in lecture, though I wouldn’t watch it on my own but, it was actually better than my expectation~! What a classic. =)

  8. Are you guys also gonna have Moroccan booze? I don’t think I’ve ever heard of Moroccan wine … maybe beer?

ryc – I have no regrets and you’re right, the past is the past. And running into an old and dear friend has got to be one of the best things around.

  10. Always great to run into an old friend!
