Moosekoka Rising
Last night G, myself and Lady Sarah trekked out to Scarborough to enjoy dinner with our hippest “senior” friends, Annie and Gord at their beautiful home. A&G are very, very involved in politics nationally and move in circles I know I never will. Talk at dinner is always political, lively and fun, especially with Gord’s jokes tossed in. They are the consummate hosts and it remains my pleasure to spend time with this uberfun couple.
Back in September you’ll remember we headed to A&G’s to manage Operation Moosekoka, and were out again last night to see the magnificent – if artsy – moose back up and reinstalled on the front lawn after its run-in with a storm.
Drinking – dirty martinis whipped up by Lady Sarah – and a fabulous meal of scallops, leg of lamb, and a lemon tart with an excellent Italian prosecco followed. It was a great evening!
Making Snow Angels
Yesterday, at the height of our latest snowstorm (raise your hand if you’re sick of snow!), we had an annoucement at the office sent on behalf of our CEO and President. All staff were requested to don their jackets, mitts, hats and boots and meet in the front reception in 10 minutes sharp. Our CEO and President has been CEO and President for some 25 years so when she requests things, people tend to move.
Dutifully, the masses collected themselves. The CEO and President arrived and asked we all head outside and ring the front lawns. Once outside she announced we would all be making snow angels, and then immediately fell backward herself into the snow and – gleefully – made her snow angel.
And so off we all went … and you know what, damn it was fun!
RYC: I think when he gets discussed with us he does block out the planet for a time.
Pretty CEO! Can I make sandangels instead!?!?!?
hahahaha that’s such an awesome ceo!
That’s a pretty sharp CEO & President!
