Friday night Lady Sarah got married. While you may think nothing of that, it is a wonderful thing if you know Lady Sarah. She has had an adventure or two along her path and it’s just so damn wonderful that, in Phil, she’s found her soul-mate. The wedding was held at the gorgeous Miller Lash Estate on the University of Toronto’s Scarborough campus.
The weather held and ceremony, food, band and company were topnotch (could you expect anything but from Lady Sarah!). G and I were so honoured to be there with her and Phil to celebrate with them. Phil’s 3-year-old niece, Norah, was the belle of the ball for sure and had more energy on the dance floor then the 70-odd guests in attendance.
Thanks to Lady Susan, Lady Sarah’s mom, for gifting me the vase of lilies as we departed (they are my favourite flower, period). Thanks to Gord and Ann and our television star Bridgette and her new hubby, Michael, for being great table guests during dinner and the speeches. And a shout-out too to Phil’s parents – Bill, and the undeniably unique and fun Margaret – for an entertaining car ride home.
Our best wishes and love to Lady Sarah and Phil as they start their own adventure together and to decades of happiness, fun, babies, great food and – as Lady Sarah and I and G all know being afflicted with the same obsession – champagne!
The couple are currently on route to Buenos Aries for 10 days wandering Argentina.
Part of the fun attending a wedding is to wine and dine!
Oh wow… that’s a great menu!
Ooh, you were at a wedding too! Miller Lash house is very gorgeous! That used to be my campus. :)
