Just never seems to be enough time in the day eh?!
Couple things I’ve been fiddling with of late that are worth giving a go:
1) Google Earth:
Arguably the best free software currently available vis-a-vis geography. You type in a location and through the magic of satellite imagery, maps and the power of Google Search, you go from space right to that location. It is so precise, for Toronto at least, that I can zoom in from space to the rooftop of the apartment I live in. Now if that ain’t cool, I don’t know what is! Not all cities or countries are available in high-definition … Toronto is; London, Ontario is not for example. Ironically, the middle east and Iraq in particular has great resolution thanks to America’s sad foray into war there. It is now available in a version for MAC as well. Get it! Try it!
With thanks to a xangster’s site I stumbled on, I discovered Abi-Station’s Protrait Avatar Maker. Last night I tried making an avatar of myself but I can’t seem to manipulate the various fields enough to make it truly representative. Here’s the two I made thus far. Hmmmmm, whaddya think?
… Yeah, gotta keep working on them, I think.
3) The Colour Quiz:
One of many personality tests based, reputedly, on years of research by “color psychologists” whatever the hell those are! In doing mine yesterday and today, it told me twice that I”m:
Intense, vital, and animated, taking a delight in action. Activity is directed towards success or conquest and there is a desire to live life to the fullest.
Shelves his ambitions and forgoes his desire for prestige as he prefers to take things easily and indulge his longing for comfort and security.
…. obviously this test is flawed! hehe
Note: the key to this ‘test’ is in the counter.
