Winterlicious

Winterlicious time again in the City. Amex card holders go to the front of the line … in theory … if they can actually get through to the restaurant … and if they can jump the umpteen hoops restaurants seem to put in place. Case in point, North 44, which I’m sure is a nice place but boy-oh-boy it’s on my blacklist now.  Here’s the email exchange between myself, Blee and G.

note, I’ve just spent – literally – 15 minutes straight dialing 416-487-4897 (North 44) only to get busy signals. I did not stop once during this time … 15 minutes dialing continuously. I will take a 10 minute break and try again.

… we may want to consider a backup plan as my frustration level will not permit me to continue this much past noon today.

ok, here’s the scoop. I just got through to North 44.

1) on Sat, Feb 4 there was only sittings available at 5 pm or 10pm; and,

2) North 44 is ONLY taking reservations for Winterlicious for parties of up to 4 people. Period. No 5 or more parties.

So, pardon my french, but f%*k North 44.
