Our fifth year anniversary. Wow! How cool is that?! … Happy Anniversary G!
G and I owe this to Wallpaper* magazine. You see, that’s how we met. Five years ago today I wandered into the Chapters on Bloor (now a Winners) to buy a Triathlete magazine. You’ll remember, the magazine section was up on the 2nd floor there. I grabbed my Triathlete magazine and made my way over to the Home/Living section to get a Wallpaper* magazine, which was fairly new then and all the rage.
I reached and grabbed Wallpaper* at the same moment G did. Crazy huh?! We both grabbed the same magazine simultaneously. Fate works in oh-so-mysterious ways. Did the gods arrange that? Had we been falling toward that moment all our lives? From lives lived past even? … who knows, who knows.
I apologized; he apologized then said, “Oh, you read Triathlete magazine. I was hoping to do a triathlon”.
What a line hehehe … little devil you.
A Starbucks coffee later, contact information exchanged, then a lunch that seems, now, timeless (had time actually stood still, I wonder) at Jacques Parc du Bistro, we are five years on: Ironman triathletes both; best friends, lovers, soulmates.
Anniversary Wishes through the years …. and remember this one, our first.
It’s sad Chapters is gone as we used to meet there separately each annivesary to relive that moment. How corny I know. We would have to wander amid the ladies purses this year and reach simultaneously for a fake Prada or Gucci bag. hehehe
