Opera: Last Time, Honest

The Globe & Mail
weighed in on Saturday with it’s review of “Norma”. The wonderful, glowing
details can be found here.

To sum it up, I’ll
directly quote Ken Winters:

But,
best of all, the opera itself came off as the singing art Bellini intended it to
be, with a proper Norma radiant at its centre. Don’t miss it.

…. don’t you
just love that last line? …. “Don’t miss it.”

Me happy.
Performances Tuesday, Friday and Sunday this week; Wednesday, Saturday next.

…. And here
I shall end my fixation on Norma.

Promise.

I’ve never even been to an opera before! Maybe I should go at least once, if I don’t like it, at least I can learn to appreciate it.
