OCAD Grad Class Exhibit

Last night I had no
movies! … omg, withdrawl. G was glad of it as he has been feeling
neglected since I’ve been a Hot Doc-addict for the past week. It was
actually nice just to chill at home after being out every night. I had
a great run, shaving 58 seconds off my time for the usual route I
follow; showered; poured a glass of wine; and got to spend some time
with G.

I’ve only two films left to screen – The Last Communist and Mystic Balls. Sadly, the Inside Out Film Festival is playing while I am away so I shall miss it this year. However, for those of you in Toronto, do check it out.

Saturday‘s grand opening: Sobeys
Today,
the new Sobeys opened on Mt. Pleasant in the space where IGA used to
live. They have done a great remodel of the space and it certainly is
more ‘highend’ now. G and I toured it this moring and I would note
prices have inched up for sure. The store is so new, it’s not yet been
uploaded onto the Sobeys website (I glaring oversight imho working in
quality … how embarrassing for them).

Folks at the grand opening were feted with free Toronto Stars and roses (though for ladies only?!).

OCAD Graduating Class Exhibit
Also
this morning we toured the 6 floors of the Ontario College of Art and
Design (OCAD) graduating class exhibition. It was very good … there
is certainly no dearth of creative artsy folk in Toronto as the various
installations, photographs, illustrations and paintings we saw
demonstrate. Well done students!

1) OCAD awaits us for … 2) the “It Happens Here” exhibit

Finally,
before we hi-ho to make an Alaskan King Crab dinner and cupcakes, some
of you xangsters have asked about my other half … sooooo … here’s
my oh-so-handsome, oh-so-talented, oh-so-adorable boyfriend, G.

I’m assuming you did that on purpose? the picture? I can’t see his face, but agree with the rest of the guys.. nice photo. I’m planning to visit GAC (Guangzhou Art Academy)’s graduating class exhibition later this month. (It’s where the Backdorm Boys go to study)
