So I don’t know if you’re anything like G and I, but we have a fascination with hotel toiletries. We ‘borrow’ toiletries wherever we go. We’ve toiletries to last a lifetime; toiletries to last two lifetimes actually. The bathroom cabinet is full of ’em. Sad ain’t it?!
Anyway, I wanted to share the toiletries collected from our Nevada/California trip. So, without further ado, there they are.

1) Days Inn, Buellton, California; 2) Rio, Las Vegas, Nevada

3) The Belamar Hotel, Manhattan Beach, California; 4) THEhotel at Mandalay Bay, Las Vegas, Nevada
If we were handing out awards – and G and I do – the hands-down winner would be the toiletries from THEhotel.
New Glasses
I picked up new glasses today … yay me! I’m sadly at that age where both reading and distance glasses are required. However, I did not want to get bifocals … yet … so two pairs it is. I wanted something very different from my last pair so opted for a ‘lighter’ look with semi-frameless. Me likes!

1) the new reading and distance glasses; 2) me in the distance frames … me likes!
the places i stay in dont usually have nice toiletries (if any at all) so i tend to use my own; which are much nicer…
it bugs me that if you happen to use the itty bitty bar of soap once to wash your hands, then its gone by the next morning; replaced by a new one. how wasteful!
ooh, i like those frames! and i take hotel toiletries too, but usually not whole sets of them — they’re convenient to bring along when traveling.
i only used hotel toiletries once in Venice, the Italians do have the best in everything..hehe..
nice glasses! :)
i remember taking those from hotels, too, when i was little.actually, my parents started the tradition. we collect ones that smell nicebecause some dont in some hotels so it’s a good backup when you travelturned out most of them smell nice and we ended up with a bagfull. =P
ryc: still interested in the friday night fest. pls drop me a line and let me knowif the invitation still stands. cheers.
oh….that distance frames look pretty nice on you! =)
Those Belamer Hotel toiletries are pretty fancy! Sometimes you just take them because of the shapes.. and that pair of glasses are pretty nice! They look very good on you!RYC: Thanks for the bday wishes! :)
Cool, the distance glasses look like my reading glasses. I don’t need any for distance.
RYC: I agree where there is life there is hope.
Ooh… the new distance glasses look very sharp!
Haha, fascination with hotel toiletries. Never heard of that one.RYC: Did you buy up all the stock of Mozart Balls…? ^___^
I have half-frames, too!
