It was cold as a witch’s tit on Friday night and walking from the CNE streetcar dropoff over to Medieval Times Dinner and Tournament was nasty. But, oh, what trashy, over-the-top silliness is in store once you arrive at this chain of jousting, feasting and drinking establishments.
I would not normally attend a place like this … though it did bring back fond memories of Old Heidelberg Castle down in St. Petersburg, which I used to visit many moons ago with my grandfolks when they used to winter in Clearwater.

6) I’m a sucker for flashy things … my $6 beer glass with a $6.50 beer; 7) our wench, Danni; 8) the arena await our Blue Knight Champion

9) the King’s Town Crier; 10) the regalia on display; 11) the evil meanie gets carted off to the dungeon

It was a super evening with good friends, eat-with-your-fingers food, a fun show [the falcon was super cool], too many bottles of Wolf Blass Yellow Label Cab Sav and best of all …. G, Will and I all got to be Queens for a Day hehehe
Here’s a short video I shot of our Blue Knight and others prancing around.
The Old Heidelberg and the Medieval Fair. Love both of those down here. Well, the Fair is still going strong.

I havent’ been there in ages. I thought it would be corny but I enjoyed it. And yeah, Friday was pretty chilly. Brr….
Fun fun, I went there when my friend proposed to my other friend!
I must visit it one day too! =)
That sounds like a lot of fun … kinda like the Rennaisances Fair.
