2006 | First Placers

Seems this time of year we’re all supposed to list our top 10 something or others, or our ‘best of’ lists. So not wanting to break with such a tradition here are Brent’s 1st Placers.

Music
Granted, I’m more of a movie than music guy but certainly the song of 2006 was:

20060324gnarlsbarkley
Gnarls Barkley’s “Crazy”

This song was wandering on the internet eons before it scored big here in North America. I remember listening to it courtesy of a Xangster months and months before it was ‘big’. I still love it.

Television
Certainly the best TV this year has been:

34144172185_9771
Heroes
fallpreview_uglybetty
2. Ugly Betty

Online
Looking at what happened online this past year, and speaking solely for myself, these two things stand out:

YouTube
pandora-logo
2. Pandora

wow, you reviewed a lot of movies! i think my favorite movie of the year, though, was probably shortbus (but that could also just be because it was the most recent movie i’ve seen). yay for youtube and pandora!

babs, i am not feelin’ the Colma OST. I have to see it I think to understand the point of reference. Little Children WAS the best! Anxiously anticipating its video release. Thanks for the visit yesterday. hug.

  4. I agree with the online things. And replying to your comment: uhh…not old enough to drink yet, cuz I’m not even legal…lol *wink?* Just kidding, but we were old enough to drink apple cider =]

Interesting list. I can agree with the movies I have seen but I have a few more to go.
