I made the dash to London this weekend to be in town to celebrate my mom’s birthday. Friday was great, as, with my niece P away at acting camp, I got to spend some quality time with nephew E instead. We had great fun chatting, eating, playing badminton in the gorgeous gardens (Papa, your garden is beautiful), playing cards at night and celebrating mom’s XXth together.

3) the gardens with Chloe looking oh-so-small; 4) flowers for the b-day girl; 5) Chloe looking oh-so-gargantuan
Mom laid on a fabulous meal of cantaloupe soup with shrimp followed by a glazed salmon and tenderloin with veggies and potatoes. Can you say ‘to die for’! Papa chose a perfect wine from South Africa to accompany which was absolutely outstanding!

Now, the plan was for me to get up on Saturday morning and head out to see nephew E’s football match. However, I showered that morning … and then I sneezed … and plans changed.
Nice garden with lots of foliage!! I like the birthday meal too!! haha~~ryc: thanks for your soothing comments!!
Those took me on a great trip down memory lane –including the sneeze.
aww… that makes me miss home.
