Tuesday night saw G and I meeting up with Lady Sarah and Jeff. We were graciously invited to a swim, food and gossip party hosted by the v. politically connected duo of Gord & Ann. Lady Sarah and I – in a former life – worked with these two folks and we’ve remained friends since. Our party turned into a Moosekoka Moose Moving Matter as their moose, designed by the same artist who did the (in)famous “Mel’s Mooses”, had toppled during a windstorm whilst they summered at the cottage.

So, with a swim and hot tub romp behind us, and sufficiently soused on ‘Gordtinis’ we headed out front to rescue the poor moose and manhandle him into a large rental truck for his journey back to the artist for surgery.

… It was not as easy as it looks … Moosekoka is freaking heavy!
Afterwards, we were rewarded with a sumptuous meal in their oh-so-lovely home.
It was a great evening, which ran very late for G and I … getting home at midnight, but how often in your lifetime can you say you’ve had a chance to bag a moose?!
