I still love this song and how the lyrics speak to how we felt growing up gay, and how – despite weirdness – love conquers all. I’m so blessed to have bumped into you at Chapters all those years ago, and I’m so glad that we’re still weird after all these years.

Congratulations! Tawn and I just celebrated our eighth anniversary and it is exciting to see more and more couples making a longer go of it.
There were a whole number of songs that really spoke to me when I was in junior high and high school about my experience growing up gay. I remember that “Hideaway” by Erasure was one that really resonated with me.

happy anniversary! what’s really weird is how in sync we are… not only are our b-days close, but my bf and i just celebrated our (1 year) anniversary a couple of weeks ago.
