G and I took a short break from preparing for Oscar Dinner 2008 by spending the evening at the Sheraton Centre, Toronto. While not our favourite hotel in the City, by any stretch, it was a great deal on the Family Day long weekend, and was my Valentine’s Day prezzie! Woohoo!
As I had a late afternoon performance at the Four Season’s Centre, the stay here was ideal as the Sheraton is – literally – a 30 second walk to the stage door entrance for the Four Season’s.
After the show, I met G up in the Club Lounge where we enjoyed the view, the drinks, and the food … but certainly not the crowds! It was a zoo at the Sheraton. We had a late dinner in an old Chinatown establishment, Hong Shing Chinese, where I ended up with two fortunes! Doubly lucky me!
This morning we headed down for an early morning swim in the indoor-outdoor pool (tons of fun) before heading home.
It was a wonderfully relaxing Saturday! Thanks G!
what is that? a fortune cookie francais?
RYC: You presume Bush can read!!!!
It’s nice to have an indoor pool….swimming is such a good exercise…burn all my extra calories!38th floor!? How many floors altogether…I wonder?
I haven’t eaten a fortune cookie in SO LONG! AND WOW, they’re in French. Hahah my schoolboy-highschool-level-french just doesn’t cut it anymore.
Wow – nice weekend! How’s the food at Hong Shing?
Wow I’ve never seen an indoor-outdoor pool. Were the temperatures of the two pools significantly different?
So it looks like someone had a good time!!
hey…speaking of Hong Shing’s…it’s where i get my lunch all the time! =)
