This is such a crazy time of year. I’ve been so busy with holidaying events that I forgot my Xanga 3rd year anniversary on December 15th. Well, happy xanga anniversary.
On Saturday night, G and I attended my old company’s Toronto region holiday party, which was good fun as always. The food was great; the dj much less so than last year.
This afternoon I hosted my immediate team for a holiday luncheon in the new condo. It was fun and we had a good time. It’s always nice to just hang out with your team outside of the office. A shout-out to Beth (who joined us from Nova Scotia on conference call) and M, who had to leave early to head to the dentist and Gail, who was sadly stuck in Hamilton at meetings today. My team is an international crew of neurorehab specialists who practice a very specialized and unique form of therapy built on a core belief in the neuroplasticity of the brain. Their collective talents do amazing work with exceptionally challenged individuals who survived strokes and individuals with Parkinson’s disease, acquired brain injuries and cerebral palsy. They are but a handful of specialists in their field in the entire world and I’m honoured to manage such a team.
They shall flock to their homes overseas come Friday – to Hungary, to England, to Scotland, to Costa Rica, to India. Bon voyage and happy holidays.
did you stock up for the snow storm?
looks like a fun party!
Well, there is no office party at work. In fact, the boss does not celebrate Christmas. Her religion does not observe the holiday. Oh, I will get a present from the boss. Actually this is the first place I have worked that does not party for a full day lolol.
our lab does it’s secret santa/pot-luck party thursday at lunch. there’s always too much food… not that anyone complains!wow, the team you work with sounds so exciting!
Looks like the holiday is quite festive up in your neck of the woods. You sound like a very supportive boss who really appreciates his team members.
Happy X-Anniversary!
