Madeleines

1) the new madeleine pan


Madeleines are a delightful cross between a cookie and a cake. Their history is associated with the little French
town of Commercy, but whether they were actually invented there or not … well … consult your Larousse and make your own mind up.

G tried his hand at making these over the weekend and was VERY successful These were lemon madeleines. made in our new madeleine pan.

2) butter, but of course; 3) eggs and a wee bit of cream

4) mix well and; 5) add lemon zest

6) add in butter

7) grease and flour the pan; 8) add in the batter and bake

9) yummy perfection!

    I bought a whole box of madelines from Costco. But I’m pretty sure your batch are tastier!

    ooh, madelines! yum! i still have yet to get around to making them… i need to get myself a pan, first. they are definitely on my list of things to bake, though.
