Winterlicious Adventures Begin!

Lunched at Pangaea this afternoon as part of Winterlicious. It was fine. The best bit, of course, Joanne Yolles desserts (which I forgot to take a picture of!). Duh! The washroom at Pangaea is very funky I think!

1) sweet potato & cashew soup with maple foam; 2) rainbow trout gravlax; 2) braised lamb shank
on a root vegetable cassoulet, fresh sage, and braising juices

4) du Breton organic pork shoulder whole roasted, new potatoes roasted with bay, buttered turnips, pan juices and fresh herbs; 5) grilled calamari with onions, capers, olives, roasted garlic, and tomato in brown butter, on organic vegetables

After lunch, shopped! Gugh! I was good. Went to Holts, tried on several things and did not buy! Woohoo Brent. Then to TNT where I tried on more things – gorgeous brown suede jacket – but again did not buy. I’m very proud of myself!

Decisions, Decisions

I’ve laid out the champagne choices from the wine fridge for my b-day … oh, decisions, decisions!  What to choose?! ….

    Champagne and OJ first thing in the morning! Classy way to start the morning. I need to check into the Winterlicious – sounds like a great deal.
