Thing one: Girl Flossing on Bus
I’m travelling back home tonight from rehearsal at the Hummingbird Centre. I’m on the Eglinton 54 bus – which is one of those ancient 1950s buses that Montreal was shipping down to Cuba but which Toronto, being dirt cheap, bought last minute.
ANYway, I sit down and this girl wearing a blue puffy jacket, glasses and bit of an italina moustache takes out a roll of dental floss and – without a word of a lie – begins flossing her teeth in front of everyone sitting there!
Good gawd, what’s with that?! …. Did she have something stuck in her teeth perhaps? Or was she doing a bit of pre-bedtime flossing so she could climb into bed a minute earlier? Was she maybe heading to meet her girl/boyfriend (not sure which way she swung) and wanted to pay special attention to her teeth prior to the kiss?
I dunno, but man, was it freaking gross!
Thing two: Heart-shaped Tuna
Is it my imagination or was the tuna steak I cooked prior to rehearsal tonight heart-shaped? G and I bought these at Dominion yesterday. I think Dominion is selling heart-shaped tuna steaks … which got me to thinking, are they left overs from Valentine’s Day?! We did buy these frozen. Yikes!
Thing three: Me in Celtic Warrior Costume
Finally, tonight, me all decked out in my circa 700 AD Celtic warrior look. Hmmm, what is that growing out of my head? Hmmmm two, not a good look for me, but as they say, lighting is everything. I look fabulous on stage!
We started rehearsals at the Hummingbird Centre last Friday. This was taken tonight during our break in the rehearsal hall. I’m sleepy now and need bed.
