I did this adventure sometime ago (see: 17 December 2006), and, as we’re preparing to move, thought I should collect up the various corks lying around and return them for recycling to the LCBO. The tally this time, not including bottles we’ve taken as gifts to places and none of the – now numerous – screw top bottles on the market was:
- 73 wine bottle corks; and,
- 17 champagne bottle corks.
Hmmmmm …. every picture tells a story and the moral here is: we need to increase our champagne consumption 9 fold to keep pace with the wine.
What’s important here is that you drew the right conclusion from the data. Thank goodness! Imagine if you had come up with something silly like, “we’re drinking too much” or “we need to reduce our wine consumption so it matches our champagne consumption.” The horror!
That’s art that is!
Yes more champagne!!!!!!
hahahaha…. I’m not sure that’s the moral of the story but technically it’s accurate. lol….
