(this post is NOT for children)
Let’s briefly comment on the City of London and its choice of both the Olympic logo and the mascots that were released earlier this week. First the logo. Now is it my imagination (or the fact I’m gay) but doesn’t this dreadful attempt at graphic design remind you of a lad (on the right with the big Olypmic rings for a head), well, um, giving another lad some oral satisfaction? Eek!
In keeping with this theme, we have the two new Olympic mascots – Wenlock and Mandeville. Can you say ‘gay’. These two condoms masquerading as mascots are laughable at best and an embarrassment to all involved. The folks who designed these took everything far too literally and forgot a key tenet of mascot design – cuddly likeability.
And what’s with the breast cancer braclet on Mandeville?….
Shame really.
I don’t understand why the Olympics need mascots…
Hahaha! I didn’t think of them as gay, just bizarre and ridiculous!
I’ve missed you so much… didn’t realize it until I arrived at your page and was reading your blog.Lol. and the ‘condom’ mascots are kinda scary… they look like they could kick my ass with their cyclopness
definitely bizarre.
I am not sure of the logo but having been given your view it sure does look “gay”. The mascots are different. I am not sure I don’t like them. OK they are not the traditional animals but have an interesting look.
yikes, i’ve seen the logo before and already thought it disappointing, but those mascots are…. uh… wow. i agree with chris, what in the world are they supposed to be?
Dear lord, what are these mascots meant to be? The logo design is very 80s, Keith Haring comes to mind.
this coming week k??? dinner.. no excuses.
